Change the interface language

Describer Languages

Use Describer in 12 languages with the Interface language setting.

Describer's screens, buttons and messages are available in 12 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese and Swedish.

How to change it

  • Open Settings
  • In General settings, choose a value in Interface language
  • Save; the app switches to the new language right away

On first use, Describer picks the language of your Shopify admin when it is one of these 12, and English otherwise.

Good to know

The interface language only changes the app itself. It does not change the language of the descriptions Describer writes; that is the separate Language field in AI Generation Preferences. Each staff member sees the language saved for the store.
