Retry a failed or cancelled task

Describer History

Restart a failed or cancelled task from the beginning with Retry task.

For tasks with the status Failed or Cancelled, the actions menu offers Retry task. Describer confirms Task queued for retry and the task goes back to Pending.

What a retry does

  • It restarts the task from the beginning, with its counters reset
  • It uses the task's original settings: source, filters, length, instructions and words
  • Products that now have 60 words or more, for example because the first attempt already wrote them, are skipped unless the task has Replace existing descriptions on

Before retrying

Check the Error Log in task details. If the cause was missing credits or a product problem, fix it first so the retry does not fail again.
