Can I cancel a task while it runs?
Yes. Choose Cancel task on a Pending or Processing task. Descriptions already saved stay on products, and the task can be retried later.

Yes. In History, open the actions of a Pending or Processing task and choose Cancel task.
Products already written keep their new descriptions and their credits stay used. The rest are left untouched. You can use Retry task later.
