Why products were skipped in a task

Describer Troubleshooting

The five reasons Describer skips a product, and which setting changes each one.

A skipped product is left unchanged and uses no credit. Describer skips a product when one of these is true:

  • Not published. Only process published products is on and the product is a draft or archived.
  • Archived. Only process active products is on and the product is archived.
  • Different vendor. A vendor name is set and the product's vendor does not match it exactly, including capital letters.
  • Already processed. Skip previously processed products is on and an earlier completed task already included the product, even if it only skipped it.
  • Long description. The product already has 60 words or more and Replace existing descriptions is off.

To include these products, create a new task and change the matching setting.
